<>Grant M & Hallman K (2006) Pregnancy-related school dropout and prior 
school performance in South Africa, Policy Research Division Working 
Paper no. 212, Population Council, Although considerable attention has 
been paid to the prevalence of adolescent childbearing in the 
less-developed world, few studies have focused on the educational 
consequences of schoolgirl pregnancy. Using data collected in 2001 in 
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, this paper examines the factors associated 
with schoolgirl pregnancy, as well as the likelihood of school dropout 
and subsequent re-enrollment among pregnant schoolgirls.  Available

Amnesty International (2006) Women's Human Rights.  Sexual Violence 
Against Women and Girls in Jamaica: "Just a little sex":   Violence 
against women in Jamaica persists because the state is failing to tackle 
discrimination against women, allowing social and cultural attitudes 
which encourage discrimination and violence.  This report collates 
research and interviews by Amnesty International on sexual violence with 
a broad section of Jamaican society - female victims of violence in the 
family and women's organizations, police officers, judges, social 
workers, lawyers, human rights activists and journalists.  Report is

Women Against Violence Europe (WAVE) Network Information Periodical - 

The WAVE team co-ordinates the publication of Fempower which is the 
network's information periodical. Written by and for experts of VAW in a 
variety of different countries it is a comprehensive communication and 
information channel within the network. Each issue includes articles 
relating to a special topic and current information on new organisations 
and projects, laws and draft legislation, conferences and international 
topics.  Topics include:  trafficking of women, violence against 
children, plight of refugee women, violence against people with 
disabilities, forced marriages and honor crimes.  Launched at the 
beginning of 2001 as part of a DAPHNE project it is now published twice 
a year in English and French.  Available on line at
