Domestic Violence in Tajikistan, The Advocates for Human Rights Minneapolis. October 2008: Domestic violence is a serious problem in Tajikistan. In November 2005 and April 2006, The Advocates for Human Rights sent delegations to Tajikistan to investigate the government and community response to domestic violence. Understanding Violence: Recent advances in biology, sociology, and modeling. EPFL-LATSIS Symposium 2009, 11-13th February 2009, Lausanne Switzerland: Violent behavior is related to complex environmental and social circumstances, but heritable and other biological factors are also implicated. An integrated view of the causes of violence should take into account sociological and psychological aspects, together with biological, evolutionary and modeling approaches. This EPFL-Latsis Symposium will bring together world leaders from each of these fields to discuss major recent advances in biological, psycho-sociological  and modeling approaches to foster actual interactions between these fields. Call for Articles for Exchange Magazine Exchange on HIV/AIDS, Sexuality and Gender: Exchange is a magazine on HIV/AIDS, sexuality and gender in developing countries. It is published quarterly by the Royal Tropical Institute in collaboration with Southern Africa HIV and AIDS Information Dissemination in Zimbabwe. The next issue of Exchange on HIV/AIDS, Sexuality and Gender will focus on innovative initiatives addressing HIV and AIDS information needs of people with disabilities.
