Today is International Women's Day<http://www.unwomen.org/en/news/in-focus/international-womens-day> (#IWD2018) and we recognise and acknowledge the collective effort of all of you who work tirelessly to prevent and respond to violence against women (VAW) and violence against children (VAC).  This year's theme draws attention to the rights of rural and urban women and highlights the work of activists in transforming women's lives. Consultancy Opportunities to Support to COFEM's May 2018 Strategy Planning Meeting: The Coalition of Feminists for Social Change (COFEM) is an advocacy collective of thought leaders, activists, practitioners and academics working globally to end violence against women and girls (VAWG). Formed in late 2016, COFEM seeks to create a feminist space for practitioners, academics and activists to critically engage with and collectively address challenges facing VAWG work. COFEM is working to clarify its vision and its activities for the next three years. As part of this process, COFEM is holding a three-day face-to-face strategy meeting for membership the week of May 21, 2018. COFEM is seeking proposals from consultants to support this process.
